Tri Lam grew up a child of Chinese parents in Vietnam, and received his Master's degree in Computer Science from the Paris-Dauphine University in France. He became interested in Chinese astrology as a teenager when, in the 1970s, he first studied Chinese martial arts with a master who happened to be also a master in Feng Shui and Chinese sky chart, since then he has studied with several masters in the field. He has also
produced a CD-ROM about Chinese astrology.
